Focused Fitness NYC is a revolutionary new concept in health achievement and maintenance.  It's not a gym, it is a private venue in which you work towards and maintain your optimum level of physical health by combining a sensible, manageable exercise program with nutritional coaching.

Any of our proven programs can be done individually or with a buddy or two.  As a weightlifters we work out with partners and the experience is more fulfilling and intense.  We push each other and support each other. 

Buddy training also reduces the cost of all programs on an individual basis.


Boot Camp!

Designed to increase endurance and strength, our new Boot Camp program combines cardio and resistance exercises in a non-stop regimen that includes treadmill interval training, bicycle training, body resistance and light waits.  You will stay in continuous motion for approximately 15 minutes at a time with each segment dedicated to specific muscle groups with two short breaks in between t

Diabetes Management and/or Prevention

Are you diabetic or ‘pre-diabetic? Does diabetes run in your family?  Let someone who has traveled that road help you.  Our diabetes management and prevention program has proven results.  We can help you to control your diabetes rather than let it control you. 

Maintaining General Health past 50

In reasonably good health but want to get back to feeling great?  It’s easier than you think.  We specialize in mature adults.  Once we pass 50 our bodies change and our needs change.  Our programs keep that in mind while tailoring your program to what you enjoy to keep you interested and enthusiastic.

About Me


At 48, Alan Sidransky, owner of Focused Fitness NYC, had been a type 2 diabetic for nearly 20 years. After his father’s death and his mother's loss of a limb, both from type 2 diabetes, Alan’s doctor explained that he was likely heading in the same direction.
